Marbled stingray [Dasyatis marmorata]
Description
Divers may encounter the marbled stingray resting on the bottom or gliding just above it, where its marbled pattern helps it camouflage against sand and rubble. When it swims, the ray’s wing-like fins ripple gently, and its tail trails behind as it moves off in a graceful arc.
