Blotched stingray [Dasyatis hypostigma]
Description
The blotched stingray can be seen hovering or patrolling near sandy and rocky areas, using its fins to “walk” slowly through the water. Its mottled, irregular markings make it blend in well with the seafloor, so divers often spot it by movement before pattern details become clear.
