Thalia rhomboides [Thalia rhomboides]
Description
Thalia rhomboides often appears as a translucent, drifting tunicate with a shape that can look slightly angular or diamond-like. Divers may see it suspended in the water column, sometimes with a subtle rhythmic movement as it feeds and swims. It’s most likely to be spotted when you’re watching the “in-between” space—away from the seafloor—where plankton gathers.
