Odontodactylus cultrifer [Odontodactylus cultrifer]
Description
Divers often spot this species as a bold, fast-moving mantis shrimp that patrols rocky crevices and rubble. With its powerful, spined forearms and quick flashes of color, it can look almost “alert” even when it’s tucked into its burrow. If you watch patiently, you may see it turn and track your movements before retreating deeper.
