Arthropods
Arthropoda
Description
Arthropods are the “jointed-leg” group of marine life, and they’re among the most visible creatures underwater. Expect to encounter crabs, shrimp, and lobsters tucked into rocks, sand, and coral rubble—often moving quickly when you approach. Many divers also notice their distinctive claws, antennae, and armored bodies, plus the way they scuttle or hover in place while hunting or cleaning.
