Neotrygon yakkoei [Neotrygon yakkoei]
Description
This small-to-medium stingray is a calm, bottom-associated species that divers frequently encounter during dives over sand flats and sheltered coastal habitats. Look for it gliding close to the substrate, sometimes pausing as it searches for prey, then smoothly disappearing into the sand or drifting away.
