Metapenaeus arabicus [Metapenaeus arabicus]
Description
Arabian metapenaeus shrimp are commonly associated with coastal seafloors where they feed along the bottom. Divers can sometimes spot them as slender, semi-translucent prawns that move in short bursts, especially when the sand is stirred. Night dives often increase your chances of seeing them actively foraging.
