Fine Shrimp [Metapenaeus elegans]

Fine Shrimp
Description

Fine Shrimp are small, slender prawns that often patrol sandy or muddy bottoms just above the substrate. Divers may spot them as quick, darting flashes when disturbed, then they disappear into the sediment. With patience, you can sometimes watch them pick at detritus and small food particles along the seafloor.
