Annotated round ray [Neotrygon annotata]
Description
Divers may spot this small stingray cruising slowly over sandy or muddy bottoms, often partially buried as it forages. Look for its rounded disc and subtle patterning—when it lifts off the substrate, it can glide smoothly a few feet above the bottom before settling again.
