Thalia orientalis [Thalia orientalis]
Description
Thalia orientalis is a free-floating tunicate that can appear as a faint, see-through blob with a streamlined shape. In the right light, it may show subtle internal structure and a gentle, drifting motion rather than a dramatic swim. Divers usually encounter it while observing plankton swarms or during calm, clear dives over deeper water.
