Sea Pansies [Renilla]
Description
Renilla sea pansies look like soft, fan-shaped or lobed “pansies” anchored to the seafloor. Divers often notice their gentle, waving appearance as they extend and retract, creating a subtle, rhythmic motion in the current. In some areas, they can also glow or show bioluminescent behavior at night.
