Sea Pansy [Renilla reniformis]
Description
Divers often spot this soft coral as a flat, fan- or leaf-like patch anchored to the seafloor. When you look closely, its surface can appear subtly patterned, and the tiny polyps give it a delicate, velvety look. In calm water, it can sway gently with the current, creating a “living carpet” effect on rocky bottoms.
