Torpedo andersoni [Torpedo andersoni]
Description
Anderson’s torpedo ray is usually found resting on or just above the seabed, where its flattened shape helps it disappear from view. Divers may observe it during slow bottom swims, especially in areas with soft sediment or mixed substrates. Expect quiet, controlled movements—more like a subtle repositioning than a fast chase—before it settles back into camouflage.
