Torpedo Rays (Electric Rays) [Torpediniformes]
Description
Torpedo rays are stocky, sand-burrowing rays that often look like a living torpedo as they move close to the bottom. Divers may spot them partially buried, resting and camouflaged, then slowly “pushing” through the sand as they hunt.
