Stareye Hermit [Dardanus venosus]
Description
The Stareye Hermit is a striking hermit crab with a bold, eye-catching look that often stands out against the seafloor. Divers may spot it tucked into a shell, moving slowly between rocks and crevices, sometimes appearing to “watch” from its perch. It’s commonly seen in habitats where it can find shelter and food along the bottom.
