Spotted Guard Crab [Trapezia guttata]
Description
Trapezia guttata can be recognized by its distinctive spotted look, which stands out against the coral’s surface. Divers frequently encounter it clinging to coral branches, where it may appear almost motionless until something approaches. When the reef gets busy, it can make quick, purposeful movements that make it exciting to watch.
