Rounded Bubblegum Coral [Plerogyra multilobata]
Description
Plerogyra multilobata can look like a rounded mass with multiple lobes, giving it a more sculpted, irregular shape than some other bubblegum corals. The inflated polyps make the colony appear bumpy and inviting, and at times they extend enough to reveal a more dynamic surface. Divers often find it in sheltered reef zones where it can maintain its rounded form.
