Rounded Bubblegum Coral [Plerogyra eurysepta]
Description
This species typically appears as a rounded colony with a thick, fleshy look and prominent, bubble-like polyps. Divers may see the polyps open and close subtly, changing the coral’s texture and “glow” as light filters through the water. It’s commonly encountered on reef areas where currents help deliver food.
