Robertson’s starfish [Pteraster robertsoni]
Description
Pteraster robertsoni is a small-to-medium starfish that blends well with the seafloor, especially around rocky habitats. Divers may spot it tucked on crevices or resting on hard substrate, where it slowly searches for food. Its overall shape and surface texture give it a “lumpy” look compared with smoother starfish.
