Pteraster hirsutus [Pteraster hirsutus]

Description

Divers may spot this sea star as a low, spreading starfish with a rough, hairy-looking surface. Its arms are often dotted with small projections that help it blend into rocky or reef habitats. When you look closely, it can appear surprisingly textured against the substrate.
