Peacock Worm [Sabella pavonina]

Description
The Peacock Worm is a species of marine polychaete worm found in the north-eastern Atlantic Ocean. It lives in a tube it constructs from mucus and sediment, and has a large, fan-shaped crown of tentacles which it extends to feed on plankton and detritus suspended in the water. When disturbed, it can retract its crown and close its tube with a plug.
