Obelia hyalina [Obelia hyalina]
Description
This species often appears as a more translucent or glassy-looking hydroid colony, with delicate branches that can blend into the background. Divers may notice tiny polyps along the stems, sometimes giving the colony a faint, shimmering texture in the light. Because it can be easy to overlook, it’s especially exciting when you spot it during slow, close-up inspection.
