Marbled Mitten Lobster [Parribacus scarlatinus]
Description
With a mottled, marbled pattern, this lobster is built for blending into textured reef and rocky bottoms. Divers who get close may see it pause in its hiding spot, then slowly reposition—its striking pattern becomes more apparent as it turns and catches the light.
