Lysmata leptodactylus [Lysmata leptodactylus]

Description

This species is a lively, reef-associated cleaner shrimp that can be seen hovering near rubble, sand channels, or the bases of corals. Divers may notice it “working” the substrate, then suddenly retreating into a crack when disturbed. Its bright, shrimp-like silhouette and constant motion make it a fun find on dives with good visibility.
