Lysmata anchisteus [Lysmata anchisteus]
Description
This cleaner shrimp is a favorite for divers who enjoy close-up behavior. You may see it hovering near reef stations or cleaning larger animals, picking at parasites and dead tissue. Even when no “client” is present, it often stays active and visible, especially around coral heads and rocky cleaning sites.
