Leptolineate Wobbegong [Orectolobus leptolineatus]

Description

This wobbegong’s name hints at its finer, line-like markings, which help it blend into reef and rocky habitats. Divers may encounter it lying low on the bottom, where its flattened body and cryptic patterning make it easy to miss until you’re close. Look for slow, deliberate movements—often just a slight head turn—when it responds to nearby currents or prey.
