Knobby spider crab [Dromia nodosa]
Description
Dromia nodosa is a spider crab with a rough, knobby texture that makes it stand out against smoother bottoms. Underwater, divers commonly find it in sheltered areas where it can slowly patrol the seafloor, often appearing as a camouflaged “lump” until it moves.
