Japanese Crayfish [Panulirus japonicus]
Description
Divers may spot this spiny lobster tucked into rocky crevices and under ledges, using its strong claws and spiny body as camouflage. At night, it becomes more active, roaming along the bottom in search of food—often making for exciting, close-up encounters.
