Hydroid [Obelia longissima]
Description
Divers may spot this hydroid as delicate, branching colonies that can form fine, feathery “bushes” on rocks, ropes, or other hard surfaces. When conditions are right, the colony’s tiny polyps extend to capture food, giving the colony a subtly lively, shimmering look in the current.
