Heterocarpus hostilis [Heterocarpus hostilis]
Description
Divers may encounter this species as a small, long-bodied shrimp associated with deeper, cooler habitats and the seafloor’s fine sediments. When it moves, it often does so in quick, controlled bursts, then settles again to blend with the substrate.
