Hess' Hermit Crab [Dardanus hessii]
Description
Dardanus hessii is a smaller, less flashy hermit crab that divers typically encounter on rocky bottoms and in sheltered crevices. With patience, you may see it emerging from its shell to forage, then pulling back rapidly as your bubbles drift closer.
