Gorgonian Shrimp [Periclimenes patae]
Description
These small, translucent shrimp are often spotted tucked into the branches of gorgonians and other soft corals. Divers may notice them peeking out from the coral’s folds, then quickly retreating when approached. Their presence adds a lively “micro-habitat” feel to reef walls and coral gardens.
