Description

Also known as Gardineroseris, Gardineroseris Coral, Lettuce Coral, or Leaf Coral, Gardineroseris planulata is a species of stony coral in the family Agariciidae. It is generally found in shallow waters of the Indo-Pacific region, particularly around the coasts of Indonesia, the Philippines, and Australia. The species is characterized by a brownish or greenish color and a flat, leaf-like appearance. It is a nocturnal feeder and extends its tentacles at night to capture plankton and other small organisms from the water.
