Forcepsfish [Forcipiger flavissimus]
Description
Forcepsfish are famous for their long, slender bodies and the “forceps-like” mouth shape that helps them probe for food in reef crevices. Divers commonly observe them swimming in calm, controlled movements near the substrate, then pausing as they use their specialized mouth to pick at tiny organisms.
