Fire Coral (Millepora laboreli) [Millepora laboreli]
Description
Laboreli fire coral typically grows in organized patches or low structures that stand out against surrounding reef rock. Underwater, divers may see a crisp, coral-like texture with small pores and subtle color variation across the colony. It’s an excellent “micro-reef” feature—beautiful to observe, but best left untouched due to its stinging defenses.
