Eunicella pillsbury [Eunicella pillsbury]
Description
Often found in deeper or more sheltered rocky habitats, this gorgonian forms elegant, branching fans that can look almost lace-like. Underwater, the polyps may appear as fine points along the branches, and the colony’s movement with the current is mesmerizing. Divers may spot small organisms tucked among the branches, making it a rewarding subject for close-up observation.
