Eunephthya thyrsoidea [Eunephthya thyrsoidea]

Description

This species is typically seen as a compact, upright or bushy soft-coral form, with many tiny polyps giving it a fuzzy, velvety look. In good visibility, divers can notice how the colony’s texture changes as it gently moves with the flow. It’s most often encountered in areas where currents bring food particles close to the colony.
