Elysia vreelandae [Elysia vreelandae]
Description
Elysia vreelandae is a leaf-shaped sacoglossan that tends to blend in with the algae it feeds on. Under good light, divers may notice its flattened body and delicate edges as it slowly glides along the substrate. Because it relies on algal food, it’s most likely to turn up where algae are abundant and thriving.
