Elysia pratensis [Elysia pratensis]
Description
This species is a leaf-shaped sea slug that tends to be found on or near algae-rich habitats. Underwater, divers may see it resting in plain sight on vegetation, using its flattened form to blend with the surrounding growth. It’s a great example of how “plant-like” appearances can be a survival strategy for nudibranchs.
