Elysia oerstedii [Elysia oerstedii]
Description
This small sea slug is often spotted grazing on algae, moving slowly along rocks and seagrass. Divers may notice its delicate, leaf-like form and subtle coloration that helps it blend into the surrounding habitat. With patience, it’s possible to see it “hold” its position while feeding, looking almost like a tiny piece of seaweed.
