Elysia nigropunctata [Elysia nigropunctata]
Description
As its name suggests, this leaf slug shows dark spotting or punctate markings that can make it easier to pick out once you’re looking closely. Divers may spot it on algae-covered substrates, where its flattened body and muted colors help it blend in. It typically moves slowly, giving you time to observe its shape and the way it clings to surfaces while feeding.
