Elysia nigrocapitata [Elysia nigrocapitata]
Description
Elysia nigrocapitata is a leaf slug with a distinctive darker head region that can stand out against lighter body tones. Underwater, divers often find it on or near algae, where its flattened, leaf-like form helps it camouflage among fronds. Look closely for slow, deliberate crawling as it feeds and rests in the same patch of habitat.
