Often encountered on or near algae, Elysia macnaei can be easy to miss because it resembles the surrounding plant life. Divers searching in shallow, rocky areas may find it perched low on the substrate, appearing almost like a small leaf. Look closely for its gentle, deliberate feeding behavior.
