Elysia frankenstein [Elysia frankenstein]
Description
This flamboyant-looking sacoglossan is a favorite for macro photographers, thanks to its bold, irregular coloration and textured body. Underwater, it often appears perched on algae, where its camouflage and leaf-like form help it blend in while still looking unmistakably “characterful.” If you watch closely, you may see it slowly inch along its food source.
