Devaney’s Coral Shrimp [Stenopus devaneyi]
Description
Stenopus devaneyi is a reef-associated shrimp that divers commonly encounter near coral and rocky crevices. Its compact body and alert posture make it easy to miss at first—until it shifts position or briefly emerges from cover. Look for it in shaded spots where it can quickly retreat if you get too close.
