Dardanus robustus [Dardanus robustus]
Description
Dardanus robustus tends to look sturdier than many other hermit crabs, with a more solid build that helps it hold its ground in rocky areas. Divers may see it moving along the seafloor near crevices, often staying close to cover. Its shell-based lifestyle makes it especially interesting to observe during slow, careful foraging.
