Cryptogaster cumacei [Cryptogaster cumacei]

Description

As its name suggests, this species is linked to cumaceans (small “comma-shaped” crustaceans), often appearing as part of the same micro-world on the bottom. Divers may see it only indirectly—by spotting the cumaceans themselves and then noticing tiny associated life in the same sheltered sediment or rocky microhabitats.
