Costasiella virescens [Costasiella virescens]

Description

Divers may spot this tiny sea slug as a small, bright green “speck” clinging to algae or reef surfaces. It’s a nudibranch, but unlike many showy species, it can be easy to miss—so slow, careful finning and close inspection of the substrate pays off. When you find one, it’s a great reminder of how much life hides in the smallest crevices.
