Christmas Tree Worm [Spirobranchus giganteus]
Description
The Christmas Tree Worm is famous for its feathery, crown-like plume that can look like a tiny underwater tree. Divers often find it anchored in hard surfaces such as rocks or coral, where the plume extends to capture food particles and retracts when the area is disturbed.
