Chocolate Whale [Physeter macrocephalus]
Description
The “Chocolate Whale” is a deep-diving giant, and underwater sightings are rare but unforgettable. If you’re lucky enough to encounter one, divers may observe a massive, blocky head and powerful, deliberate movement as it cruises or descends—often with a dramatic wake of bubbles and a sense of scale that’s hard to forget.
